How to Connect

If you will be using the SIM for the first time for VPN, make sure that you will not miss this step. IT IS A MUST, unless you want your SIM to be blocked (For SMART) or your connection not to work.

For Smart
You will need at least P2.
1. Type ROAM OFF and send to 333
2. Type OFF and send to 211.
3. Type GPRS ON send to 211.
4. Wait for a reply from 211. Type YES and send to 211.

Again, this is a must for initial set up especially if you will use the SIM for the first time for VPN.
After that, proceed to procedures below:

  • If this will be your first time to use Tsunami VPN and connecting to test it, follow Procedure A
  • If you already had successful connections before and will use a new account (username and password), follow Procedure B.
  • If you have just updated your Tsunami software or you have just re-installed the software and you had a successful connection before, follow Procedure C. 

A. To test if the VPN is working in your PC:
Make sure that you have already finished the System set up before doing this. It is advisable to check connection before your first payment.
1. Connect your Globe/ Smart dashboard using the profile that you have created.
2. Launch Tsunami VPN from Start>All Programs>TsunamiVPN>TsunamiVPN. (For Vista/Windows7 users, right-click>Run as Administrator)
3. Go to File>Update TAP Driver. Wait until black window appears and disappears
4. Go to File> Change Account. Enter Username and Password for test account. PM me at vpnpilipinas to get the test account. Hit Save.
5. Select UDP/TCP whichever is available.
6. Select Network based on the SIM that you are using.
7. Select Tsunami.Trial.## from Server List and click connect. A window will open. It will disappear after connecting successfully after about 2mins. A message balloon will say that you are already connected.

You may proceed to payment and get your PREMIUM ACCOUNT.
If it takes longer that 3 mins to connect, look for the logs, copy and PM it at Y!M id: vpnpilipinas for troubleshooting. If not possible to PM, find the error message from the log and text it to 09165277679
Errors may be but not limited to: TLS error, AUTH Failed, check your system time, no connection and so on.


B. To connect after payment
After the payment, you will be provided with the Premium Username and Password which will be good for 30 days.
1. Connect your Globe/ Smart dashboard using the profile that you have created.
2. Launch Tsunami VPN from Start>All Programs>TsunamiVPN>TsunamiVPN. (For Vista/Windows7 users, right-click>Run as Administrator)
3. Go to File> Change Account. Enter Username and Password for Premium Account. You don't have to enter this again the next time you launch VPN software.
4.  Select UDP/TCP whichever is available.
5. Select Network based on the SIM that you are using.
6. Select any server from that you want from the drop-down Server List and click Connect.

A window will open. It will disappear after connecting successfully after about 2mins. A message balloon will say that you are already connected.



C. To connect after VPN software update:
1. Connect your Globe/ Smart dashboard using the profile that you have created.
2. Launch Tsunami VPN from Start>All Programs>TsunamiVPN>TsunamiVPN. (For Vista/Windows7 users, right-click>Run as Administrator)
3. Go to File> Change Account. Enter Username and Password for Premium Account.
4. Go to File>Update TAP Driver. Wait until black window appears and disappears.
5.  Select UDP/TCP whichever is available.
6. Select Network based on the SIM that you are using.
7. Select any server from that you want from the drop-down Server List and click Connect.
